I love scotch. Scotchy, scotch, scotch.

Wow, I am waking up later and later each day. I suppose it comes with the territory of being a poker player but this is escalating quickly. I mean, this is really getting out of hand fast. It's jumped up a notch. Tuesday evening I played the Omaha Hi/Lo $10-$20 game with Kill @ The Wynn which featured a couple of guys who had no idea how to play. Like they were mucking their winning hands in big pots! I suppose I can't be too critical though. I almost did that once too. The one dude was hilarious though. He was pretty hammered but having a good time and actually went on a pretty nice rush near the end. But if you're getting unlucky and losing to those kinds of players like some of the guys were it can become really frustrating. Fortunately I was catching cards and winning some nice pots. There have also been some juicy $2-$5 No Limit Hold'em games @ Caesars the last few days. I was in a huge pot today against a southern dude who was also quite drunk. Fortunately my hand held up and I doubled up. The guy was pretty hilarious though. The important thing is that he was having a good time. The atmosphere at the tables isn't always so friendly however. I was playing a cash game yesterday and there were these two Brits @ the table. They were the kind of guys who liked the sound of their own voices/accents (no offense to British people but I can't stand British accents) and wanted to make it known. Anyway they were playing their last hand before they left and I called this bet another guy made. The one idiot turned up a key card purposely then took off! I was pissed and let him know it. I don't like to get confrontational at the poker table but you gotta stand up for yourself and general poker etiquette sometimes. Plus maybe I mighta been on tilt a bit from a single-table tournament I had just played where I was knocked out on the worst beat I'd ever taken haha. But it's not like I can say I've been playing impeccable poker either. I've made a few donkey calls lately which have made me realize I've got a lot of work to do when it comes to No Limit cash games and following my instincts. Ah well... So tonight I'm off to the Rio to take in some of the main event. They're into the money now so things are getting pretty intense. Ok I have to be honest. I'm going to watch Tobey Maguire. I actually heard a rumour that he's the most successful cash game poker player ever. Personally, I think it has something to do with his spidey powers. As Matthew Perry would say, "Let's all take our shirts off and watch Tobey Maguire movies" haha. Or in this case, "watch Tobey Maguire play poker". Off to San Francisco tomorrow and away from the tables for a weekend... looking forward to it!
