We've been coming to the same party for 12 years now, and in no way is that depressing
So the obvious higlight of the last week or so was the WSOP party I attended. I was invited by a friend of a friend to a getogether for top internet poker players at... (drum roll please)... Hugh Hefner's suite @ the Palms. It was sick! The place was massive, complete with a small pool that looked out onto the Vegas strip from the 32nd floor. We had access to the whole place, including the bedroom with the rotating bed haha. The party was catered, including free drinks, with the waitresses serving appetizers in full playboy bunny attire. It was cool to talk poker with some internet pros. They definitely know their stuff. But there was certainly the consensus that with all the knowledge that exits these days, the games are becoming more and more difficult to beat. I've had some first hand experience with that the last few days haha. The cash games have been really frustrating and the 1k main event megasatellite I played last night did not result in a seat unfortunately. I got off to a good start but bluffed away my entire chip stack on a flush draw. Ah well... I'm gonna focus on cash games this week and maybe check out the main event at some point. Oh, one more thing. The Ante Up For Africa charity event was last week. It was crazy to be up close to a bunch of celebrities, poker and otherwise. I took some good pics. And it's nice that poker is taking a step towards giving back to people in need, in this case, the people of Darfur. Cool, well thanks for stopping by. Later y'all.
