Leavin Las Vegas

Well, what can I tell you? As the extremely hot (and talented) Nelly Furtado might say, all good things come to an end. I'm sitting here in the Las Vegas airport awaiting my flight to Toronto and I'm actually kinda sad to leave. Looking forward to going home and seeing everyone though. My last week here has been a blast. I took a break from poker for a couple of days last weekend. I indulged in some delcious buffets @ the Bellagio and Paris. We saw the O Show, a Cirque du Soleil production, which was very cool. The highlights though were going to Pure and chilling by the Pool @ the Mirage, sipping on oversized margaritas. Pure is one of the "hottests clubs in Vegas" that many B and C-list celebrities frequent and we were fortunate enough to be blessed with the presence of Constantine from American Idol, washed up one semi-hit wonder Ryan Cabrerra, and Rachael Taylor. It was pretty interesting/funny. Like Tao, the club was absolutely packed. There was literally no room on the dance floor. We were basically griding with random strangers involuntarily. Cool experience though. This week was spent @ the tables except for Thursday, when I took a tour to the Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon. The Hoover Dam was quite fascinating from an engineering perspective and we were shown a documentary on the bus, which was very good. The Grand Canyon was ginormous. We went to the South Rim, the most popular destination within the park. I walked the Rim trail along the edge of the canyon. The views were spectacular. I'd love to go back sometime and hike into the canyon or go rafting down the Colorado. Last night I pampered myself and stayed @ Planet Hollywood. It turned out to be, surprisingly, one of my favourite casinos. Very modern and young and hip. And so my vacation from my vacation has come to an end.
