Blazing a trail up the coast

I knew right away I would like this city when we went to this nearby funky bar last night and I bought two drinks for four dollars, one of which was a very tasty ale lagger from a local microbrewery. They have lots of those here in Portland which is very cool. It's great to be here in the Pacific Northwest, my new home. I left my apartment on short notice because Jim got my move-out date mixed up. So I ended up staying on the strip for a few days. I played a few more crazy cash game sessions and by Thursday and I had packed up my things, paid the lawyers, and was off to sunny California. It was great spending time with people I hadn't seen in a while and getting back to reality, i.e. away from playing poker. It was really surreal being back at the motels and playing with the kids without the rest of the original Modesto twelve. The drive up the coast has been nice but kinda boring by myself so I'm definitely happy to be almost at the finish line. But in the meantime, I have a few places to explore and I'm looking forward to it. And those places are... the NBC Olympics website, the CBC Olympics website... Did you know that you can now stream all of the events online?! You can even watch four at a time! Go Canada!!!
